Hi all,

Using Windows 7 64bit, colors completely broken at first even after trying the JJ2+ version. After applying the Win7 DirectDraw Compatibility Tool which helped a lot but not completely, I set the resolution in-game to 800x600 16bit which fixed the remaining color issues in the menu and in-game. So at least I can play...
But even after all that, the cutscenes flicker and display some broken colors - anyone know how to fix that? is it because the resolution is no longer 800x600 when in FMV mode?

Thanks for any help!
No idea. But I can say I completed the campaign using a source port. Which you can find here.

Jazz 2 resurection is not a source port. It looks the same, but is completely different game and code. It plays much slower paced than the regular game, especially while using the run button.
The flickering and broken colors during cutscenes in Jazz Jackrabbit 2 could be caused by a few different factors, including compatibility issues with newer graphics cards and drivers, outdated codecs, or incorrect video settings. Here are a few things you can try to fix the issue:

Update your graphics drivers: Make sure that your graphics card drivers are up-to-date. You can usually find the latest drivers on the website of your graphics card manufacturer.

Install the latest version of DirectX: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 requires DirectX to run properly. Make sure that you have the latest version of DirectX installed on your computer.

Install the latest version of codecs: Jazz Jackrabbit 2 cutscenes may require certain codecs to play properly. Try installing the latest version of codecs like K-Lite Codec Pack or Combined Community Codec Pack.

Change the video settings: Try changing the video settings in the game to see if it helps. For example, you can try changing the resolution to 800x600 and the color depth to 16-bit.

Use compatibility mode: Try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows XP or Windows 98 to see if it helps.

If none of these solutions work, you may need to seek further support from the game's developer or community forums.
