Hi!
I just bought Kim and am trying it out. However I've come across this rather gnarly issue. I am unable to click and move Kim around when I close the Quest book. It happens randomly, so I can't really repro it, but basically I'd be doing something like..

Walk around..
Click to see my quests
Click outside the book to close it.
Kim is no longer responsive.

All the other menu buttons still work, but I just can't click to move Kim around.

I'm launching this under the GoG launcher, so could it be a problem?

I have the same problem plus. I have also had the game hang when Kim gets on the train, and have had Kim get "stuck" in that instance when I quit the game and restarted it. He was stuck under a building for some bizarre reason. The only way I got out out of it was he was within clicking distance of an inn so I could "sleep" him and have him get out normally when he wakes up.

Basically the game hangs multiple times no matter what I do. I have not been able to get further than a few months into the game because of this. I notice the devs were johnny on the spot pre-release but ignoring this forum completely now that they have our money.

I am NOT, btw, using the GoG Galaxy installer/launcher AT ALL, so I don't think that is the problem.

Hi angelystor, sorry to hear you've encountered a bug, I will look into this issue, could you please let me know if you're playing on Mac or PC?

It would also be great if you could send over your save game if you have one where this issue is occurring. If not, if it happens again, do send it. You can attach it to an email to hello@secretgamescompany.com. The file is called called KimDB.bytes and is found in this folder (on Windows):

C:\Users\[YOUR USERNAME]\AppData\LocalLow\The Secret Games Company\Kim

Thanks for your help and sorry for the slow reply, I hadn't checked the forum in a few weeks, I'll keep a closer eye on it.

And hi pahster, I'm very sorry to hear you have had these severe issues, we haven't had any reports of this kind of thing (not since early access anyway) and we will look into them right away. Same first steps for you as above, are you on Windows or Mac and could you send us a save file? Thanks for you help.

Absolutely not. I've already consigned this game to the trash. It's no fun at all even if I were able to ignore the multiple bugs. Was uninstalled long ago, with no plans to ever bother with it again.
